What is a VA claims appeal?
A VA claims appeal is the process a veteran uses to challenge a decision made by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) when they disagree with the outcome of their disability claim. This could involve a denial of benefits, a lower-than-expected disability rating, or an incorrect effective date.
In simple terms, it’s the veteran’s opportunity to say: “The VA got this wrong—and here’s why.”
